GUIDELINES

Hair: No faddish hairstyles. Administration reserves right to decide if haircut is acceptable.

Jewelry: For girls, earrings must not exceed 1”, or they will be confiscated.

Jumper: Available at the Flynn & O’Hara.

Polo: Available from Land’s End Catalog, Logo #9943295K. Must be tucked in at all times for Middle School. Oversized shirts not permitted.

Pullover/Zippered, Cardigan, Sweatshirt: Available from Land’s End Catalog, Logo #9943295K. This is the only outerwear permitted in the classroom.

Rounded Collar Blouse: Wear under jumper and needs no logo.

Shoes: Without backs, clogs, cleated or spiked shoes are not permitted for safety reasons. No shoes with wheels.

Sneakers: Must be completely black

Skirts: Must be within 1” off floor when kneeling, slits no higher than 2” above knee. Kilt available at Flynn & O’Hara

Slacks: Twill material. No casual pants, sweats, cargo, double-stitched, etc.

*Walking Shorts: Elementary/Kindergarten only. The summer uniform begins May 1, ends October 15. White/blue polo shirt with KA emblem will be worn with navy walking shorts, navy or black shoes, black, blue or white socks.

CHAPEL: Dress uniform is required. No pants for ladies. Sweater with KA emblem is required for Middle School students, October 1 through May 1.

NON-UNIFORM DAYS

DRESS-UP DAYS * See General Guidelines.

· Ladies: Modest dress, same length policy as uniform. Jewelry, same policy. Must maintain a well-groomed look.

· Gentlemen: Slacks, no jeans, shirt with collar, must maintain a well groomed look.

CASUAL DAYS *See General Guidelines.

· Shorts will be no shorter than 6” above the knee when kneeling (fingertip length).

· Blue jeans will not be tight or have holes.

· No tank tops, see-through or extremely tight shirts/blouses. No bare midriff. Underwear or pajamas are never proper outer attire at school.

· No t-shirts with questionable/inappropriate matter are permitted.

· Shoes or sneakers must be worn at all times.

· Hats/head coverings must be removed when students enter the school building.

· Sunglasses are not permitted to be worn in the school building.

Students failing to comply may be excluded from attending class. Parents may be called and asked to bring appropriate clothing for their student. If students subsequently return to school inappropriately dressed, after first warning, disciplinary action may be taken.
