King’s Academy Parent Summer Letter
July 19, 2007
Dear Parents,
Whether you are a new member of our family or a returning member, we welcome you to our 2007-08 school year. With summer vacations, the Jersey shore, and other ‘fun in the sun’ activities, we hope you are enjoying this wonderful time of year and the last thing on your mind is school. However, around here we are busy making preparation for an exciting new school year.
Enclosed you will find the calendar and supply list. We are not mailing the new emergency cards, nurse’s packet, or financial forms for two reasons—the cost of sending them out and the notoriously lack of response in mailing them back! So if you would just stop into the office and pick up your forms when you are in the area it would be very helpful. If not, they can be filled out the first day of school.
There are several important items you need to know for the fall:
Please continue to pray for our school and the leadership as we make plans, hire staff, and prepare the building. We would like you to agree with us in prayer that the presence of God would permeate this place, that your children would be educated in the ways of the Lord, and our high academic standards would continue. We are excited about this year and the future of our school.
In His service and yours,
Lorna Hassel
Principal
“Our son is doing great at his new high school. We were concerned that coming from a small school to a very large one he would not be able to hold his own, but he not only is doing very well, he is in advanced classes and is at the top of his class.”
Parent of 8th grade graduate
“We cannot find a Christian school like King’s here at our new duty station. As a result I am now home schooling. We miss everyone so much. Thank you for all you did for our daughter while we were in New Jersey.”
Military parent of 2nd grader
“Just thought you would like to know that __________ made National Honor Society at his school this year. After being at King’s since Day Care, you should be so proud of what he is doing in High School.
Parent of 8th grade graduate
“I am excited about moving to Texas for our new duty station, but my only sadness comes from having to leave King’s Academy. You really do have a family environment and made us feel so at home. Our child made so much progress while she was at your school. I just hope we can find another one just like it.
Military parent of 3rd grader
“I love King’s Academy. At my other school they were mean to me.”
